Louisville baseball hosts in-state foe Kentucky

The University of Kentucky basketball team may have lost, but there are other teams to fill your Wildcat needs. UK baseball team opens up a 4-game road trip on Wednesday against a well-known rival, Louisville.
When the Cats travel to Louisville and face the fifth ranked Cardinals it will be the 15th top-25 opponent in 32 games for Kentucky. Louisville will also be the sixth game out of the last seven against top-5 opponents for UK.

For Louisville baseball, they have been playing great as of late. The Cardinals are coming off of a series sweep of number 15 Virginia including a shutout in Monday’s game. Louisville is also 14-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) this season.
The game will start at 6 pm on Wednesday afternoon at Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville. This should be a good test for both teams as they are both playing very well as of late. Will Louisville keep the hot conference play going? Or will Kentucky’s experience with top-ranked teams payoff for them in the game?
