Is Rajon Rondo becoming a disruption in Dallas?
Former Kentucky point guard Rajon Rondo has knowingly had an attitude throughout his career, especially when dealing with a “new to him” coach. Yet again, that problem is arising between his new head coach Rick Carlisle and the former all-star point guard.
Tensions rose during the 3rd quarter of Dallas’ Tuesday night win over the Toronto Raptors. During that quarter, a shouting match would occur between he point guard and coach that would leave Rondo sitting on the bench for the remainder of the game. That circumstance would then lead to Carlisle’s decision to suspend Rondo for Wednesday’s game in Atlanta, that would end up in a loss for the Mavericks.
When asked after the Toronto game about the situation during the third quarter, all Rondo and to say was, “Discuss it with Rick.” Carlisle also was asked the same question during the post game press conference.
"Well, it’s an emotional game, and we had a difference of opinion, there was an exchange, and then in my mind, it was over.– Dallas Mavericks’ head coach Rick Carlisle on the dispute between him and former UK player Rajon Rondo"

The Smoking Cuban
Despite the tensions being so high between the two, Rondo has only been in Dallas for a few short months. The four-time all star point guard landed with the Mavericks after a blockbuster trade occurred in mid December. The Celtics sent Rondo along with forward
Dwight Powell, and in return the Mavericks moved
Brandan Wrightalong with two draft picks.
The question now being asked for this situation this; with the Mavericks giving up so many pieces in order to get the famed point guard, and with tensions growing between player and coach, will that hinder Rondo from re-signing with Dallas this summer when he becomes an unrestricted free agent?
Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, made it clear when bringing Rondo to Dallas that he intended on him re-signing in free agency. The owner released a statement of his own following the series of events to ESPNDallas.com.
"S— happens. Not the first time, not the last time, it’ll happen again. It’s not just Rajon. It’s a long season. In my 15 years, I’ve seen it happen more times than I can count, and we survive every time.– Mavs’ owner Mark Cuban on his intentions to keep Rondo in Dallas"

As noted above, Rondo has had anger disputes before, but he’s also won an NBA Championship while in Boston, so
somehow
he can be worked with. It’s all a matter of sticking through it.
How do you think things will play out for the ExCat? Will Rajon Rondo quickly run-out his stay in Dallas? Or could he lead the Mavs back to the promised land? Let us know in a comment below or on twitter @BlueGrassDom.
