Now, for the Fella Tops. Ray Harper’s squad are coming in off of three absolute blowouts, one of which came against a new conference rival in Marshall. Not bad, not bad.

T.J. Price is absolutely tearing it up during his senior season, leading Conference USA in scoring with 17.5 points per game and is joined by fellow senior George Fant who has really emerged over the last couple of weeks with 10.8 points per game. As always, WKU’s success hangs on the success of one of these two, and this season, T.J. has been the stud we all knew he could be.

More from Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

Like the Hilltoppers, Charlotte also has a trio of double digit point scorers (

Chris Harrison-Docks

and his three-point shooting join T.J. and George) and are lead by

Braxton Ogbueze

(11.9)

and

Torin Dorn

(11.4) along with

Pierria Henry

(10.7) who was the lone 49er on the C-USA Preseason All-Conference team.

The 9ers started the year with a pair of signature wins against Penn State and South Carolina, but have dropped four of their last seven and are on a three game slide, but they are playing teams close (losing to #17 Miami by three, Georgetown by three and Georgia Tech by one) so their 6-7 record isn’t what you’d expect a 6-7 record to be.

Here’s what you can expect out of a starting five tonight for WKU:

Trency Jackson  – G
Chris Harrison-Docks – G
T.J. Price – G
George Fant – G
Alex Rostov  G

I hope you’ve missed watching some close games, because I have a feeling the Hilltoppers and 49ers will be step for step with each other all night. Tip off is an hour after the Lady Tops begin.
