Kentucky Basketball Game Grades: Can Trey Lyles miss?

The Kentucky Wildcats looked to continue their pursuit of perfection yesterday win a win over 18th ranked Arkansas inside of Rupp Arena in Lexington. John Calipari and his team did that, defeating the Razorbacks, 84-67, to improve to 29-0 overall, 16-0 in the SEC. In the Cats’ win, Trey Lyles led the way with another outstanding performance.

TREY LYLES. A+. Trey Lyles has been ”The Man” on this Kentucky basketball team the last two games. In the Wildcats’ win over Mississippi State on Wednesday, Trey had a game high 18 points off of a solid 7-of-12 shooting along with six rebounds. In yesterday’s win against Arkansas, Trey continued his dominance by scoring another 18 points off of a hot 8-of-10 shooting from the field (80%) to go along with four rebounds and an assist. Continued play like this from Trey will certainly help Kentucky keep winning.. F. Kentucky Wildcats

KENTUCKY BENCH. C+. As it should be with the number one team in the land, the starters lead the way offensively, scoring a combined 60 points out of the Cats’ 84. Kentucky returns to action on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. (CT) against Georgia (19-9, 10-6 SEC). Game will be televised on ESPN.
