The Hilltoppers were handed a tough loss this weekend, shocking the conference by losing to one of the worse statistical teams in the nation, the Rice Owls. But, it wasn’t all bad, as in the loss, Trency Jackson led the way.

G. Hilltoppers. TRENCY JACKSON. A-. The senior guard was the leader on the court for the Tops on Saturday. Trency hit big time shots when the team needed it most by making some outstanding plays that kept the team fired up in the second half. Jackson finished the game with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting and 3-of-4 at the foul line. He also grabbed five boards. The Tops were in the game because of Trency, and if he’d want to perform like that again on Saturday, you wont hear us complain.

Hilltoppers. WESTERN KENTUCKY. D. Ray Harper’s bench didn’t provide much help for the Hilltoppers. The bench as a whole scored a total of three points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out four assists. The rebounds and assist are okay, but three points?! Can you guess who scored the 3?
