The Hilltoppers have all the momentum in the world right now. Coming off an absolute dog fight against FAU, in which they had to overcome a 13-point deficit and beat the Owls in overtime, WKU now searches for their best start in conference play since the 1992-93 season, and it comes against another former Sun Belt foe in Florida International.

The Golden Panthers are coming off a milestone in their program’s history, as they won their 400th game against Marshall on Wednesday, erasing an 18-point deficit in the process. Yes, FIU was down 18 points to Marshall. Leading scorer on the season for FIU, Dennis Mavin, did just that against the Herd, scoring 19 points and going 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Mavin was one of four Panthers to score in double figures, one of which came off the bench. Mavin is averaging a hair under 17 points on the year, and is joined by Adrian Diaz as the only other double-digit scorer game in and game out.

The Tops have played in just about every situation you could imagine to begin conference play – an absolute blow out, a close game in which they pulled away late, the dogfight last time out and they’ve even knocked off a Top 25 opponent. What will tonight have in store? Lets find out! Tip-off is at five.
