Hilltoppers football continues to garner national recognition
Happy Friday, Hilltoppers! The weekend is almost here, and it should be a bit easier to wade through the final weekday after the Tops’ sweep over FAU. And that’s where we will begin our links!
- How sweep it is! The Lady Tops and Fella Tops both defeated FAU yesterday. Michelle Clark-Heard won her 150th game as a head coach, while Ray Harper is now 2-2 in overtime games.
- Who wants some parody for their morning! Remember when the Lady Toppers defeated defeated Ole Miss 98-69? Well, the Fighting Bjorks took down the #18 team in the country last night.
- The Hilltoppers were mentioned not once but twice in Sports Illustrated’s Top 25 college football games of the year. That’s fun, right?
- FanSided’s Saturday Blitz released their top bowl season performers. Guess who took home another quarterback honor!
- Speaking of one of those games, the Bahamas Bowl was the 5th least-watched bowl game. Oh well, at least everyone has seen that freaking last play, right?
- Is Old Dominion on their way back down to the FCS ranks? Are other Conference USA schools headed with them?
- UTEP is open to playing UK for a rematch of the 1966 national title game. Yeah, good luck with them scheduling you, Miners. Trust us. Also, UTEP being “open to play,” is the wrong part of the equation in order for the game to actually get played.
If you ever come across an article – WKU or C-USA related – and you think it’d go great in this segment, send it our way! We’d love to share it with the rest of the world.
