Good morning Hilltoppers fans! Tomorrow we finally get to see WKU back in action, but it was yet another off-day with a lot of Tops’ news yesterday.

  • The Lady Toppers will finally return to Diddle Arena as they play their first ever Conference USA conference games in Good Ol’ E.A. But, if you can’t see the ladies in person, you’ll be able to catch them on Fox College Sports!
  • A pair of WKU track & field athletes picked up C-USA athlete of the week honors.
  • With the college football season officially over, USA Today graded each FBS program, and the Tops came in with the fourth-best grade among C-USA schools.
  • When matched up with the rest of the country, USA Today see’s the Tops as 66 in the country. That’s certainly an upgrade from 118th (or, dead last) – where WKU was several years ago. Started from the bottom now we…somewhere in the middle.
  • In some not-so-good-news coming out of WKU sports, BGPD has followed up on a claim that a former WKU swimmer was hazed by his teammates. While it’s early in the investigation, it doesn’t look good for one of the banner programs the Tops have to offer.
  • Because you haven’t seen it enough, the Bahamas Bowl Blasphemy was named the number one play of the entire 2014 bowl season. But don’t forget who won the game. That’s right. It was the Tops.
  • Another number will be retired on the Hill, this time, former WKU baseball skipper Joel Murrie, who won 815 games. No other Topper will ever wear #36.

If you ever come across an article – WKU or C-USA related – and you think it’d go great in this segment, send it our way! We’d love to share it with the rest of the world.
