The Hilltoppers have a pair of big games staring them in the face – the Lady Toppers close their road trip by renewing their rivalry with Old Dominion while the Fella Tops welcome in a 25th ranked Monarchs team to Diddle.
Before we tip off on the day’s games, however, lets take a look at news you might have missed from yesterday, ranging from the hardwood to the gridiron, and even some ProToppers news.
- I took a look at the game grades of some WKU basketball players, following their win against Charlotte on Thursday.
- Our Will Puckett took a look at changes that could be coming for the WKU football staff, as a pair of assistants are linked to some big-name jobs.
- WKU football might be losing some staff, but they will be getting some former Blazers.
- Speaking of the Blazers, want a bit of insight on conversations that took place that lead to UAB’s program closing? You might find this of interest.
- Memphis lost their second game in a row. And our ProTopper Courtney Lee didn’t have a good night – 28 minutes and only four points, but four rebounds.
- In other ProToppers news, Bobby Rainey is a restricted free agent in 2015. He is one of 11 Tampa Bay Buccaneers who will be free agents when the new year begins.
If you ever come across an article – WKU or C-USA related – and you think it’d go great in this segment, send it our way via twitter, @WaveTheRedTowel! We’d love to share it with the rest of the world.
