#ProToppers: Courtney Lee’s buzzer beater lifts Grizzlies over Kings

facebooktwitterreddit

Courtney Lee didn’t get the start for the Memphis Grizzlies last night, but for the next few hours, he’s seen as the undeniable unsung hero for the club after completing this play at the end of the game to hand the Grizzlies a victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Holy moly. How freaking beautiful. That simply capped a night in which he scored 16 points and had three assists in 36 minutes of floor time from off the bench. Not bad, not bad. Here’s some of the best reaction from the twittersphere.

A quick search in twitter will bring up many more. What will also appear is a lot of reference to a shot he missed in 2009, during his rookie year with the Orlando magic.

A lot of Magic fans…as well as Laker fans…are taking tonight to poke some fun at that moment, but tonight is surely a sweet one for Courtney and his Grizz. Take pride, Hilltopper Nation – he’s one of ours.
