ProToppers Primer: Jeremy Evans looking for first action of year

facebooktwitterreddit

Both the Grizzlies and Jazz hit the floor over the weekend, but neither Courtney Lee nor Jeremy Evans did. Both are looking to take the floor tonight, however, as they help kickoff the week for the NBA.

MEM. We tweeted out this statline over the weekend on Courtney Lee…<blockquote class=. vs. New Orleans Pelicans. 7:00, FedEx Fourm. COURTNEY LEE

UTA. Well, this certainly wasn’t what we wanted to see from Jeremy come the start of the season. While Evans has never been a huge minutes getter, he’s yet to play through the Jazz’s first three games. Ouch. Hopefully that changes tonight as his Jazz take on the Clippers in LA.. vs. LA Clippers. 9:30, Staples Center. JEREMY EVANS

Hope you haven’t forgotten about our baseball ProTopper, Kes CarterWe haven’t…although we haven’t updated you on how he’s done in quite sometime. But, we will change that right now.

PEO. It’s the halfway point of the Arizona Fall League (at least, I think it is, they had their “Fall Stars” all star game on Saturday) and the Peoria Javalenias have the worst record among the six teams, at 8-12-2. Having said that, everyone in the West division has a losing record – which explains the Easts’ four-run win in the ASG – and are only a game out of first place. They’ll start November play today at 12:35 against the Scottsdale Scorpions, the cellar-dwellers of the East division (10-12). As for Carter himself, he’s hitting .184/.313/.316/ with a home run, six RBI, six runs scored and nine hits, including a pair of doubles all in 13 of the Javelinas’ 22 games. Kes got a start in the last game Peoria played on Halloween, so he’ll probably have an off day today.. vs. Scottsdale Scorpions. 12:35. KES CARTER
