Get to Know Conference USA Mascots

Another one of our old friends, Roary the Panther, celebrated his 24th birthday in April! FIU was originally the Sunblazers, but due to it’s upopularity, the nickname of the school was changed to the “Panthers,” in October of 1987 and thus, Roary was born! Officially a golden panther, the “golden,” was dropped in 2010 and now, they are simply the Panthers. You can keep up with Roary on twitter @RoarythePanter
