As the days grow closer to WKU’s first season in Conference USA, Phil Steele released his preseason All-Conference Conference USA teams. Seven Hilltoppers graced the all four teams. Lets run throughout this and find out the Hilltoppers who made them.

On the first team All-Conference was junior tight end Mitchell Henrywho receives the only TE spot on the roster. Henry was WKU’s leading TE in 2013, and will most likely be Brandon Doughty‘s favorite target in 2014 will look to impress this year. On the Second team All-conference list was defensive back Cam Thomas, who will lead an experienced WKU secondary who also has to replace the early departure of safety Johnathan Dowling. Thomas will look to be the best secondary player in all of Conference USA. On the 3rd team is where WKU leaves its mark in this preseason poll – Juniors Leon Allen (RB) and Garrett Schwettman (PK), as well as seniors Willie McNeal (WR) and  Cameron Clemmons (OT). All of these position players look to have a strong 2014. Rounding out the list on the 4th team is sophomore offensive tackle Forrest Lamp. Lamp who started as a freshman will be one of the strongest line players for WKU, and will look too climb the latter at the end of the season.
