Sun Belt Baseball Bracket Released

Just a few moments ago, the Sun Belt Conference released the bracket for this upcoming week’s baseball tournament. You can see the bracket below.
WKU and Texas State will open the tournament with a 9 a.m. CST start time in the 4 vs. 5 game. If the Tops win, they’ll advance to play the winner of Lafayette vs. Monroe at 4 p.m. If WKU loses, they’re then on life support and another loss will end the season, and they’ll play the loser of the aforementioned ULL/ULM game in another 9 a.m. start (still on Thursday).

Troy, Arkansas State, UT-Arlington and South Alabama occupy the other half of the bracket, meaning UALR and Georgia State will not be competing this year.

Being on the same side of the bracket as the Ragin Cajuns wasn’t quite what Matt Myers and his boys had in mind, but they’ll have to get through one of the top teams in the nation if they want to punch their automatic bid to the road to the College World Series.

Regardless of who the opponent was, the Tops will have a series victory to ride into Mobile as well as an impressive near 9th inning comeback.

Of course, we will have all the conference coverage for you right here!
