#5 – Derrick GordonRemember him? The self-imposed “Mr. Hilltopper” who transferred after his freshman year to, apparently, move closer to home in New Jersey? Well, he and his UMass Minutemen are the #6 seed in the Midwest side of the bracket, and will face the winner of Iowa/Tennessee on Friday once Duke and Mercer conclude on CBS. In his first year playing for UMass, Gordon started every Minutemen game this year, and averaged 29 minutes on the floor, 9.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. It’ll be fun to see him play again, and depending on your feelings toward him (considering you still have any), you might be pulling for the crimson, or pulling for the upset.
