Well folks, it’s Tuesday, and that means Sun Belt Power Rankings. So here is your SBC info for the day!

TeamRankPrevious RankRecordThe Story So Far
1113-1, 20-7The Panthers reached the 20 win mark for the 5th time in program history. Their win against ULL reiterates their potency and determination to take the Sun Belt.
229-6, 18-10Despite losing to Georgia State, the Cajuns stay marked in 2nd as they gave the Panthers all they could handle. Payton and Long are lethal as ever here of late and look to remain that way heading into the Conference Tournament.
339-5, 16-9The Red Wolves have won 5 out of their last 6, with the only loss coming to the Ragin Cajuns, thus leaving them in 3rd place in the ranks once again.
4410-4, 18-9The Tops bounced back from the South Al loss as they topped ULM and looked to have gained some of their confidence back. WKU will try to finish out the season well as they look to build up momentum for the conference tournament.
557-7, 12-14The Mavs have won 3 of their last 4 and continue to use their physical play to beat opponents. The Mavericks will be a very scary team to meet in post season play.
675-9, 8-14The Warhawks dropped two this past week and has only won one of their last 6. However the quality of their losses is what enables them to rise up one spot in the ranks.
764-10, 9-17The Trojans showed potential after beating the Panthers, however they drop two last week with one of those losses coming against South Alabama, thus moving them down one.
887-8, 12-15The Trojans have bottomed out as they are sliding on a 5-game losing streak. Their average play has caught up with them and will have to turn around if they want to salvage their three remaining games.
994-10, 8-19The Bobcats ended their small losing streak with a win over South Alabama, but fall the next game to A-State. In that loss, Texas State’s nine game streak oh holding opposing teams under 70 points was snapped.
10103-11, 9-18South Al gained a third win in Sun Belt play as the stopped the Trojans. The Jags are 4-0 this season when shooting 50% or better, so if this team can get hot they can beat anyone.

Only two teams made swaps this week, those teams being ULM and Troy. Everyone else stayed constant in their play, but we could see a totally different set of rankings within the next two weeks as crucial games to the standings will be played out soon.

Despite the standings showing Louisiana-Lafayette being shown in 4th, I think that team is truly the second best, or even best team right now. All I’m saying is watch out for this team…

That is all we have for you this week, stop back buy next week! Until then, stay classy SBC!
