Arkansas Little Rock Trojans (5-2 overall, 2-2 this week)
UALR started off strong, winning their first five games of the young year (an opening series against Creighton, a mid-week tilt with SEMO, and the first of a three game set with Bradley), but dropped the back two matchups with the Braves to end the weekend. Seven games in, UALR is lead offensively by Ben Crumpton, who is hitting .393 and has driven in three men, as well as Justin Steelmon, who is hitting .333 and has four extra base hits. In total, the Trojans have six players hitting over .220, but Crumpton and Steelmon are the lone .300+ hitters. The Trojan pitching staff has combined for a 2.05 ERA to open the year, and had not allowed more than four runs in their first five games. Since, however, they’ve allowed 9 and 8, both to the Bradley Braves, and both games UALR dropped.
