Good Afternoon all!

Your Lady Hilltoppers have traveled south to Little Rock to take on the Trojans of University of Arkansas Little Rock. At this point in the season, WKU has taken on all the teams in the Sun Belt at least once, so the tables have turned and everyone knows everyone weakness’ and WKU will travel to take on the teams they’ve played at home and take on the teams they’ve played on the road in Diddle.

The last time the two teams met, Western managed to handily defeat the Trojans 65-39. Along with garnering the victory, WKU held UALR to just 28.3% shooting from the field. Senior guard Chaney Means had 11 points and went 3-of-3 from behind the arc. Team captain and All-American Candidate Chastity Gooch had 15 points and 5 rebounds, and sophomore Micah Jones had 14 and went 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. For UALR along with being held to 28% they committed 23 turnovers that turned into 18 WKU Points.

Today’s game should prove to be a tad more interesting than the last; UALR, remember, was picked preseason as the most likely team to win the Sun Belt along with WKU. The player to watch for WKU is redshirt freshman Kendall Noble, who had a 27 point performance versus Arkansas State Wednesday night.

On UALR side of the things, they were suppose to play Georgia State on Wednesday, but icy conditions delayed the playing of that game. The most threatening player for UALR is Taylor Gault – she leads the team in scoring and and put up 26 against South Alabama, and is 4th place on UALR’s all-time scoring list.

That is all for post game. Check in after for the post game report. GO TOPS!
