Well what do you know? It’s Tuesday. You know what that means, Power Rankings! I’m starting to believe the Sun Belt just doesn’t like to stay consistent, and likes to throw us a curveball every week. Here is our views on the situations currently at hand with this weeks SBC Power Rankings.

TeamRankPrevious RankRecordThe Story So Far
117-0, 14-6The Panthers keep rolling as they once again stay perfect in the SBC, their current streak stands at 11 and is tied with the longest win streak in school history.
245-2, 13-7The Tops improve to 4-0 on the road in conference play for the first time since the 1969-70 season.
384-3, 9-10Rising from the bottom to the top this week, the Mavs are on a three game win streak. In their past three victories UTA has held their opponent to under 40% shooting from the floor.
434-3, 11-7The Red Wolves showed no mercy to visiting UALR as they dominated in their only game this week with a score of 77 to 49.
553-4, 12-8The Ragin Cajuns suffer back-to-back home losses to GSU and WKU snapping their 8 game home win-streak.
625-3, 10-10The Trojans fall hard as they go 1-1 on the week, with the loss bringing in a season low 49 points scored in a game.
773-4, 6-9The Warhawks have themselves handed two losses against the 1 and 2 teams in this set of Power Rankings, and have only been able to provide one quality win in SBC play.
8102-5, 6-14The Bobcats grab a win over Troy this week, and go 6-2 when shooting 50% or better from the field, while also 4-2 when limiting their opponent to under 40% from the floor.
991-6, 7-13The Jags have yet to achieve a second win in SBC, losing two more losses this week and keeping them at a stand still in the rankings.
1062-6, 7-13A four game losing streak lands the number five team from two weeks ago in dead last, as they seem to have lost a pulse these past two weeks.

Our gut feeling this week told us that Texas-Arlington could be a better team than they have been written off to be. So we “rustled some feathers” and awarded them with a 3rd place rank.
