Good Evening Topper fans, My name is William Puckett and this will be my first time writing for WTRT! Before I get into the nuts and bolts of WKU v. UALR ill give you a little insight into my life. I’m a freshman at WKU and aspire to be on ESPN one day, I am a die Hard Michigan, Patriots, Tigers, and Red Wings fan. I live in Evansville Indiana and played Football and Lacrosse in High School. Bear with my during Basketball season because it may be a struggle but we’ll get through it together!

Michele Clark-Herds team (2-1 Sun Belt) welcomes the Lady Trojans (3-1 Sun Belt) of Conference foe Arkansas Little Rock into Diddle Arena for tip off at 7CT. The two teams sit in 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the Sun Belt Women’s Basketball rankings. WKU Coming off an 80-59 victory over Georgia State. The Trojans are rolling in off a victory over Troy. WKU owns the advantage in all playing categories accept wins at home. UALR comes in averaging 57.9 PPG and allowing 54.5 PPG. The Tops are putting in work averaging 73.4 and allowing 66.0 a game. WKU has averaged 80 points in their past two games. Chastity Gooch is always one to watch as she enters the game averaging 24 a game with 10.3 boards. Bianca McGee needs 2 from downtown to reach 70 for her career. One sleeper is Red-Shirt Freshman Kendall Noble for WKU who has stepped up in the absence of Alexis Govan. Noble has 6 rebounds and 12.5 points in WKU’s current winning streak. For UALR they held Troy the Sun Belts best shooting team to 30 points lower than their season average. Player to watch for UALR is Sun Belt player of the week Taylor Gault who scored 50 points in her last two games. One problem for WKU? The Trojans are 3rd in the nation in Defending the 3 and their scoring D is 9th in the Nation. With McGee one of the best 3 point scorers in the Sun Belt and UALR one of the best 3 point defending teams something has to break.

If you’re in the Bowling Green area tonight and find yourself looking for something to do, make your way down to Diddle. WKU and UALR are picked to finish 1 and 2 respectively in the Sun Belt. Make your way back to Wave The Red Towel at the conclusion of the game for a recap and a look forward to WKU’s next game. Thanks again for turning to WTRT for all of your Hilltopper information. Have a safe and fun evening and GO TOPS!
