Andrew Jackson Suspended Indefinetly

Last night, news broke that WKU senior linebacker and team captain Andrew Jackson was suspended indefintely by Bobby Petrino, and Jackson will not be making the trip to Atlanta this weekend for the Tops game vs. the lowly Georgia State Panthers. It has been confrimed that the suspension is not drug or alcohol related, but was a violation of team rules.
Jackson took to facebook to state that he was supsended for being late to a team meeting, and he appologized to the Hilltopper community for his actions.
In Coach Petrino’s statement, he said that Jackson would be more than welcome to return to the team for the Army game if he can prove himself.
A good friend of WTRT, and future writer, Elliott Pratt broke the story through the College Heights Herald, and you can check out his article here.
Bellow is the full statement from head coach Bobby Petrino:
“Andrew did not meet the expectations we put forth every week for all of our players. There are certain conditions in place for him to meet before he returns to the team, and if he meets those conditions, he will be welcomed back for the Army game.”
Stand up and cheers.
